What's going well? I am amazed at the number of people I have met recently who are focused on what is going well and getting better! It is easy to spend time with them. Life is truly an adventure for them. A client of mine recently lost his job not his career- and his first words upon hearing the news were let's get outta here. He didn't have the time to feel sorry for his fortune because he was too busy looking in the direction of where the ship was going next. He is using his power of choice to see this change as his good fortune not misfortune. What a perspective!
This is in contrast to a world that seems to be focused on what's broken. When you are around negative people or constant dramatic situations, it affects your physiology. Simply put, it makes you physically weaker and what's going well can be difficult to find.
Negative and dramatic situations can be very contagious. Constant negative stress has a physical impact on you. The negative always gets a lot of attention. It has a lot of drama and energy to it and pulls you right in. You can always make the Intentional Choice of where to focus your attention. If you can notice what's going wrong you can also notice what's going well. Take the time to look at the whole picture. If you are focused on what is going well and getting better, it can make a difference not only inside you of but also in what you attract to you.
In spite of where you are or what situations you are encountering in your life, summer is almost here. We have already had a day in the high 90's. The longest day of daylight is coming in June. You can golf, garden mow or swim until 9:00 ! What a month to go play!
